Guess Less, Know More

Quick answers to the things you may be wondering, so you can see what sets my work apart.

What skills set me apart as a mechanical engineer?
icon

I combine hands-on manufacturing experience with a strong background in electromechanical integration and proficiency across a wide range of CAD and CAM platforms. My passion for both engineering and art gives me a strong eye for design, allowing me to develop hardware that balances technical performance, manufacturability, and thoughtful aesthetics.

What industries have I worked in?
icon

My professional experience spans industrial technology and IoT, developing hardware for energy-sector operations at Pason and connected wireless products at TEKTELIC. Through student engineering teams, I have also gained hands-on experience in automotive and aerospace, developing solar vehicles and high-powered rockets.

What types of hardware and parts do I design?
icon

Mainly I design mechanisms, electronics enclosures, and sensor hardware, with experience spanning pneumatic and hydraulic systems. My work also includes sheet metal, injection-molded parts, and machined components, giving me experience across a broad range of mechanical hardware.

What engineering challenges am I pursuing next?
icon

I’m pursuing opportunities to solve complex hardware challenges at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and advanced manufacturing. I want to develop high-performance products from first principles, push ambitious concepts from prototype to production, and engineer hardware where performance, precision, reliability, and exceptional industrial design are equally important.

Have I designed products for real-world deployment?
icon

Yes. Working within a small hardware team has given me significant ownership, with dozens of my designs now deployed in the field. Recent examples include automated cable testers, LiDAR probe housings, thixotropic fluid analyzers, the eDoctor platform, and other industrial IoT sensors.

What engineering tools and software can I use?
icon

I’m proficient across a broad range of engineering, CAD, CAM, and visualization tools, including SolidWorks, Siemens NX, ANSYS, KiCad, Rhino, Blender, and Mastercam. I also have experience with PCB design, 3D printing, CNC programming, technical drawings, GD&T, simulation, and software tools such as python, grasshopper, and excel.

How much engineering experience do i currently have?
icon

Since starting my first position, I have worked at TEKTELIC as a summer intern for 8 months, an internship at Pason for 16 months, and currently work at Pason as of June 2026. This is not counting three years on both SOAR and the University of Calgary Solar Car Team.
